Meet our driver at Kochi airport or railway station and climb into the Western Ghats. Stop at the Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls and watch the landscape turn into endless rows of tea. Check in to your hill resort and enjoy a quiet evening with a cup of fresh estate tea. Overnight in Munnar.
Visit Eravikulam National Park, home of the shy Nilgiri tahr (closed in calving season, usually Feb–Mar), then learn how leaf becomes tea at the tea museum. In the afternoon, see Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and the flower gardens. Overnight in Munnar.
A scenic drive through cardamom hills to Thekkady. Walk through a working spice plantation with a local guide, then choose between an optional Periyar lake boat ride or a Kalaripayattu martial-arts show in the evening. Overnight in Thekkady.
